We recommend the Alterm System as a Chemical-Free Physical Termite Barrier for all new buildings. Australian standard 3660.1 1995 states that installing barriers during construction minimizes the risk of termite infestation. The barriers impede termite entry.

WHAT IS ALTERM

Alterm is a marine non-rusting Aluminium product, which has three applications,

Flashing AS.2904. 1995

Damproof Course AS.2904. 1995

It complies with AS.3660.1. 1995 (part 4.2.7) and with Australian Building Codes 1996 (part A2.2). It is CSIRO Entomology tested and has ABSAC Technical Opinion 239.

With its three in one application, the ALTERM system is both multi-purpose and very cost effective.

Aluminium dampcourse has been used in Australia for 70 years. ALTERM developed Sementitious Parging to adhere the aluminium barrier to masonry surfaces so it could perform the function of a termite barrier.
